Terms & Conditions
Tutoring sessions are delivered either online or face-to-face, as agreed in advance. Each session lasts approximately one hour and is tailored to the student’s needs, with a focus on curriculum understanding, exam preparation, and academic confidence.
2. Fees & Payment
Sessions are invoiced monthly in advance and payment is due within 24 hours of invoice via bank transfer. Monthly invoicing covers the student’s regular weekly slot for that calendar month.
Half-term arrangements may be agreed by prior discussion but are not the default billing method.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full at the tutor’s discretion.
Cancellations due to illness are treated as standard cancellations and do not automatically carry a credit.
Persistent cancellations or frequent changes may result in the loss of the student’s regular slot.
4. Responsibilities
The tutor will prepare and deliver sessions to the best of their ability, provide appropriate resources, and support the student’s learning. The student (and parent/guardian where applicable) is responsible for attending sessions, completing any set work, and engaging with the learning process.
5. Disclaimer
While every effort is made to support academic progress, the tutor cannot guarantee specific outcomes, grades, or exam results. Progress depends on factors including attendance, engagement, effort, and independent study.
6. Confidentiality & Safeguarding
All personal information is treated confidentially and in line with safeguarding requirements. Any concerns will be reported following professional safeguarding procedures.
7. Ending Tuition
Either party may end the tutoring arrangement with two weeks’ notice. Any prepaid sessions beyond this period will be refunded where applicable. Open communication is encouraged to ensure sessions remain appropriate and effective.
